i. well for starters,

Basically, I have been told that I have an interesting perspective on the things in life by multiple people. I swear I'm not making this up, I think I'm the most boring person on the planet but apparently some people don't so let's see if people will actually read this (however if they don't that's cool as well because I'll just use this to vent).

Okay, So I guess I'll start off on why I decided to make this. I'm going into my second year of Journalism Broadcast at Sheridan College (which is in Oakville, Ontario. Canada) so I really like to write to begin with. It not only helps clear my mind but it's just what I like to do (I once wrote a 6 page essay on bottle caps) so clearly I can write about almost anything!

But why blog?

Tonight my friend Lori told me I should do this, after I made up a scenario of what would happen if for an entire day I spoke in a deeper voice (which if you have met me you know I suck at any form of accent/interpretation). She has not been the first person to tell me this, besides the obvious being my mother, I have been told not only by my high school Writers Craft teacher, but also my Storytelling for Journalism teacher in first year (she told me that I tell stories with a completely different outlook then most people and it would be really interesting) of course at the time I thought she was just making fun of me and who knows maybe she was.

Another question that crossed my mind was why this form of blogging?

My friend Randy just asked me "Isn't that what Facebook and Twitter is for?" the answer: I suppose so but I'm not forcing people to read this (by it appearing on their news feeds) they have the option if they want to hear me ramble about pointless things.

And how did I find this site you may ask?

Well to be honest with you this wasn't my original site choice, I was going to go to this other site (I can't remember the name off the top of my head) that my best friend Jerry uses, but the site was to complicated for me so I passed, typed "blog" into google and VOILA! here we are! So thank you for taking interest in this and trust me it will hopefully get more interesting when I start actually writing about people/places/things/ideas (side note: I think that is the definition of a noun)

  1. It's called Wordpress the blog engine that Jerry uses. I prefer Drupal for my site.

Good to see more people starting to blog seriously. It's been a long wait for people to take to it...

    Keep it up!
